It's been a while since our last post as we've been busy moving to The Lizard, Cornwall

Lots of DIY still to do but everybody is settling in well

Ben's growing up

Ben's now just over 11 weeks old and has already been out and about.

He's been down to Cornwall to stay with Andy, Maggie and his new friend Bracken. He's also been to Everton near Sandy to visit Nick and Anne. He's gradually getting used to water with a few swims now under his collar!

After a short wait, Ben (our new puppy) has arrived.

He was born on 14th December 2006 and is settling in with the rest of the family

He's too small for his collar yet and only just stumbling around the kitchen with the shiny floor.

Here's a picture of him in his new living quarters!

Niddocks Internet Marketing update

Things are going really well with Niddocks Internet Marketing (half of Niddocks Limited - our company)

Today we launched the information for the ecommerce training course

We also announced new dates for the Internet Marketing Course, Google AdWords Course and the Email Marketing Course

In addition to the above, we're pleased to announce that all courses held in Newark will now be held at Aura Commerce and Technology Centre. Aura CTC offers great facilities for conferences and courses, it is also home to our sister company, Niddocks Internet Solutions.

The February courses are filling up quickly with only a few places available on the Google AdWords course now

Dog on the way

We've finally decided to get a dog!

He's only just under 4 weeks old at the moment so we can't collect him for another 3 weeks or so

He's a Border Collie

Operation down in Bristol went well with my PFO in my heart well and truly closed

I should be able to get back in the water in April after a check up just before Easter

The operation went really well despite me being really worried about it

Back home safe and sound with nothing but a dry throat and a bruised leg

The New Year got off to a great start with The Hunt meeting in the town square, we joined hundreds of others to watch and then made our way to my parents for lunch

Summary of 2006

2006 got off to a good start with a move back to twinset diving to Rob. Andrea also joined the world of twin cylinders with a matching pair.

Our desire to move to Cornwall grew as the year progressed with the eventual sale of Niddocks Internet Solutions to Adam allowing the rest of the business to be moved south.

In the middle of the year, Rob suffered another bend (second to the first which came some 3 years earlier). This resulted in a long wait for a PFO scan.

Following the scan, a very large PFO was found and an appointment was made for closure of the PFO in January 2007. Rob was promoted to dive donkey and tea boy for the rest of the diving season

We were given a kitten that we named “Mackerel” because of her mackerel-like markings on her grey coat and she has terrorised the home ever since, managing to write off a brand new phone and several other items not to mention giving Smudge (our big old pussy) a run for his money too.

The family home was put on the market in September with Remax with a view to moving to Cornwall as soon as possible, a buyer was found and the search was on for a Cornish home. Andrea went to Cornwall with Rob’s mum and found a house on The Lizard.

All was looking good until our buyers pulled out just before Christmas!!! We then lost the house in Cornwall and were sent back to square one. The house was put back on the market and available to view (click here)

Andrea’s Nan sadly passed away in early October at the grand old age of 98, the family got together at Andrea’s parent’s house.

In amongst the grief surrounding the house sale, Andrea received a call from Ian Thomas (IANTD Instructor Trainer). Ian suggested that he came up to us in mid-December to finish off Andrea’s instructor course, we accepted his kind offer and he joined us a few days before Rob’s birthday. A great few days was had by us all (including Wil who played the student) and Andrea passed the exam and has become the UK’s sixth female IANTD Advanced Nitrox Diver instructor!

Christmas was enjoyed with family and friends in Newark

The year ended with a great New Year’s Eve party with friends old and new and some family.
